Type specimen: HP-100024. Its type locality is H.S. Lee Mine No. 8, just above alatoconchid zone, Kinta Valley, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the H. S. Lee Formation of Malaysia.

Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
