Type specimen: 405, an exoskeleton (wonderfully preserved). Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Florissant (MCZ Collection)
