Sister taxa: Qianjiangoceras anhuiense, Qianjiangoceras multiseptatum
Type specimen: NIGP 14982. Its type locality is Liuhualing north railway tunnel, Qianjiang, Laibin County, which is in a Changhsingian deep-water siliciclastic in the Dalong Formation of China.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
