Belongs to Callomyia according to S. H. Scudder 1890
Sister taxon: Callomyia hypolitha
Type specimen: Lee 71, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Green River (Lee Collection), which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large diatomite/shale in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution: found only at Green River (Lee Collection)
