Sister taxa: Paralligator ancestralis, Paralligator major
Type specimen: PIN 554-1, a partial skull (Nearly complete skull, lacking palate). Its type locality is Shiregin Gashun (PIN coll. 554) [MPE], which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian terrestrial sandstone in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia.
