Type specimen: IVPP V.2773, a partial skeleton (Posterior parts of lower jaws, few vertebrae and fragments of limb bones). Its type locality is Hukou, Nanhsiung (field no. 6228), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial claystone in the Nongshan Formation of China.
