Type specimen: MSNM i10691/2, a carapace. Its type locality is Ponte Giurino, Valle Imagna (MSNM collection), which is in a Sevatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Argilliti di Riva di Solto Formation of Italy.
