Type specimen: SBEI 1570, a mandible (fragment of right lower jaw with p4). Its type locality is Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine, which is in a Barremian mire/swamp mudstone/sandstone in the Kuwajima Formation of Japan.
Ecology: arboreal herbivore
Distribution: found only at Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine
