Sister taxa: Aechminella buchanani, Aechminella trispinosa, Balantoides trilobata
Type specimen: EGPE OGU 1-5, a carapace. Its type locality is Sobolevo profile, bore 628, depth 538.2-542.8 m, which is in a Roadian carbonate mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Kalinovka Formation of the Russian Federation.
