Type specimen: USNM 71279, a forewing. Its type locality is Hermit Shale, about one-quarter mile west of the sign "Red Top", which is in an Artinskian fluvial shale/sandstone in the Hermit Shale Formation of Arizona.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Hermit Shale, about one-quarter mile west of the sign "Red Top"
