Sister taxa: Tainacris divergentis, Tainacris quisqueiana

Type specimen: 7 xii, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Maershan village, Laiyang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siliciclastic in the Laiyang Formation of China.

Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling grazer-herbivore
