Sister taxon: Chilicola (Hylaeosoma) electrodominica
Type specimen: Poinar H 10-49, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
