Type specimen: NM 855, a forewing (forewing missing apex & base). Its type locality is Mooi River Locality, which is in a Changhsingian delta plain shale in South Africa.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling grazer-herbivore
Distribution: found only at Mooi River Locality
