Sister taxon: Callietheira khalfini
Type specimen: NM 2558 ab, a forewing (complete forewing). Its type locality is Bulwer (Bul 111), which is in a Changhsingian delta plain shale in the Estcourt Formation of South Africa.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Bulwer (Bul 111)
