Sister taxa: Eocarpilius anomala, Eocarpilius antiquus, Eocarpilius blowi, Eocarpilius lessineus

Type specimen: USNM 484563, a carapace. Its type locality is USGS 26883, Martin Marietta Berkeley quarry, which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in the Santee Formation of South Carolina.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (4: North Carolina, South Carolina collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
