Sister taxon: Xyelocerus admirandus
Type specimen: CNU-HYM-NN2008011, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2008 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Daohugou (CNU 2008 collection)
