Sister taxon: Acosmoblatta eakiniana

Type specimen: USGS 2187(2188), a tegmen (almost complete tegmen). Its type locality is Cassville, which is in an Asselian terrestrial shale in the Cassville Shales Formation of West Virginia.

Distribution: found only at Cassville
