Type specimen: AMNH 1130, a partial skeleton (all the peripherals of the left side, except the third, fourth, fifth, and eleventh; the second, fourth, eleventh and half of the ninth of the right side; the f). Its type locality is Barnsboro "greensand" (Hornerstown), which is in a Maastrichtian marginal marine horizon in the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey.
