Type specimen: YPM 778, a partial shell (the nuchal and the first and the second neural; the second, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh right peripherals; the first, second, third, fifth, and sixth left ). Its type locality is Cream Ridge Marl Company pit (Hornerstown Fm.), which is in a Maastrichtian marginal marine marl in the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Cream Ridge Marl Company pit (Hornerstown Fm.)
