Sister taxa: Mongolemys elegans, Mongolemys reshetovi, Mongolemys turfanensis
Type specimen: Its type locality is Naran Bulak Quarry 1 [MPE], which is in a Paleocene alluvial fan sandstone in the Naran Bulak Formation of Mongolia
Ecology: aquatic omnivore
Distribution: found only at Naran Bulak Quarry 1 [MPE]
