Sister taxa: Grovesella pseudoglobulosa, Grovesella sphaerica, Grovesella staffelloides, Grovesella tabasensis

Type specimen: SUI 114224, a test. Its type locality is Arrow Canyon sample 9476_840, which is in an Artinskian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Bird Spring Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: stationary semi-infaunal omnivore

Distribution:

• Permian of United States (2: Nevada collections)

• Carboniferous of Ukraine (4)

Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
