Type specimen: NMC 40729, a partial skeleton (skull, cervical vertebrae and right forelimb). Its type locality is Cape Grassy, Melville Island plesiosaur, which is in a Callovian marine sandstone/siltstone in the Hiccles Cove Formation of Canada.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Cape Grassy, Melville Island plesiosaur
