Sister taxon: Dracolestes
Type specimen: LIEB-PV 1135, a maxilla (Fragment of left maxillary with M2–3, and roots and part of the crown of M4). Its type locality is La Barda, Paso del Sapo, which is in a Lutetian fluvial tuff in the Andesitas Huancache Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at La Barda, Paso del Sapo
