Sister taxa: Plicatospiriferella akachanica, Plicatospiriferella canadensis, Plicatospiriferella grata, Plicatospiriferella ploskajae

Type specimen: PGO K-1377/3. Its type locality is Sig River, K-1377, Yudoma River basin, Southern Verkhoyan, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Akachan Formation of the Russian Federation.
