Type specimen: MCN-PV 1802, a tooth (Upper left molar (M3?)). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
