Sister taxon: Lanelater verae
Type specimen: PE_2000/349 ab LS, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Eckfeld Maar (NHMN 2000 collection), which is in a MP 13 crater lake siltstone/shale in the Eifel Formation of Germany.
