Type specimen: UCMP 167664, a partial skull (right postorbital). Its type locality is Castle Gardens, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial mudstone in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution: found only at Castle Gardens
