Belongs to Gurvanotrupes according to A. P. Rasnitsyn 1986
Sister taxa: Gurvanotrupes exiguus, Gurvanotrupes liaoningensis, Gurvanotrupes stolidus
Type specimen: PIN 149/949, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29)
