Belongs to Arctosirenites according to E. T. Tozer 1994
Sister taxa: Arctosirenites canadensis, Arctosirenites columbianus, Arctosirenites sverdrupi
Type specimen: GSC 14141. Its type locality is GSC 26167, Buchanan Lake, Axel Heiberg Island, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Blaa Mountain Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 25.4
Distribution:
• Triassic of Canada (2: Nunavut collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
