Belongs to Microposaurus according to A. Warren 2012
Sister taxon: Microposaurus casei
Type specimen: AM F.135895, a partial skull (Anterior half of skull with attached mandibles). Its type locality is 7km SE of Picton, which is in an Anisian marine claystone in the Ashfield Shale Formation of Australia.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at 7km SE of Picton
