Sister taxon: Deltasaurus kimberleyensis
Type specimen: BMR F.21775, a partial skull (Partial skull roof with palatal fragment). Its type locality is BMR 10, Beagle Ridge Core, which is in an Induan/Olenekian marine shale in the Kockatea Shale Formation of Australia.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at BMR 10, Beagle Ridge Core
