Type specimens:

  • Chironomaptera vesca: PIN 3568/742, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Manlay, outcrop I/22 (PIN collection 3568), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siliciclastic in the Mogotuin Formation of Mongolia.
  • Petiolatendipes shouchangensis: Its type locality is ZH47, Baishuiling, east Shouchang, which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Shouchang Formation of China.
