Type specimen: NZGS TM 2771, a valve (left valve). Its type locality is GS 7204, Corbie's Creek (H40/f7510), which is in a Ladinian marine sandstone in the Rabbiters Hut Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
