Sister taxon: Tuberculatosporites anicystoides

Type specimen: Holotype: Prep. LP n° 742; coord. 38.7/120.3. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Spore). Its type locality is Pozo D-13, which is in an Eocene coastal horizon in the Río Turbio Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"
