Sister taxon: Microcoelonella takliensis
Type specimen: SUT-09-1357, a carapace. Its type locality is 07LB05-A1, Ta Kli, Nakhon Sawan-Lopburi, which is in a Wordian carbonate wackestone in the Tak Fa Formation of Thailand.
Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-suspension feeder
