Type specimen: MCN.P.440, an osteoderm (fin spine). Its type locality is Jacarezinho Municipality, which is in a Capitanian lacustrine horizon in the Rio do Rasto Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Jacarezinho Municipality
