Type specimen: JME AS V 55 1095-1 Nr 1 (neotype), an exoskeleton (whole insect with bad preservation). Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME and Kümpel collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
