Type specimen: JME AS I 1028 1095-1 Nr 1, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME and Kümpel collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
