Belongs to Aspideretoides according to J. D. Gardner et al. 1995

Sister taxa: Aspideretoides beecheri, Aspideretoides foveatus, Aspideretoides robertemryi, Aspideretoides superstes

Type specimen: UALVP 01, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Sand Creek (200 ft level) [UA], which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in Canada.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: there are no occurrences of Aspideretoides allani in the database
