Type specimen: AMNH 32652, a skull. Its type locality is Cañadon La Leona, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial tuff in the Palomares Formation of Chile.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Cañadon La Leona
