Type specimen: RRBP 04289, a tooth (upper left (pterygoid) toothplate and portion of pterygoid bone). Its type locality is TZ-22, which is in an Aptian/Cenomanian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Galula Formation of Tanzania.
