Sister taxa: Langdaia hornei, Langdaia laolongdongensis, Langdaia meesooki, Langdaia suboblonga
Type specimen: UPMC P6M2762, a carapace. Its type locality is Laowuji Section Bed 18 (PL23-16), Panxian County, which is in a Griesbachian coastal siltstone/sandstone in the Feixianguan Formation of China.
