Sister taxa: Oppia cervicornu, Oppia mexicana, Oppia setigera
Type specimen: UCMP 13045, a nymph. Its type locality is UCMP B-7461, Pa-Buchil, Simojovel region, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at UCMP B-7461, Pa-Buchil, Simojovel region
