Type specimen: NHMW 1865/X/1124, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Aix-en-Provence (NHMW Coll), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large limestone in the Niveau du gypse d'Aix Formation of France.
Distribution: found only at Aix-en-Provence (NHMW Coll)
