Sister taxa: Proectocion argentinus, Proectocion precisus

Type specimen: M.L.P. 59.II.28.107, a mandible (right mandible fragment with m3 (complete) and m2 (incomplete)). Its type locality is Tobas con mamíferos (Laguna de La Bombilla), which is in a Casamayoran terrestrial tuff in Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Tobas con mamíferos (Laguna de La Bombilla)
