Type specimen: MLP 82-V-2-105, a mandible (left partial mandible with i2 and p4-m2). Its type locality is Gran Barranca - southern cliff of lake ColhuƩ Huapƭ, which is in a Colhuehuapian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Argentina (3 collections)
