Type specimen: JME SOS 1801, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Blumenberg quarry, Eichstätt, which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.

Distribution: found only at Blumenberg quarry, Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME collection)
