Type specimen: SPCV10305, a partial skeleton (Near complete articulated skeleton). Its type locality is Xinpu Ichthyosaur locality, which is in a Carnian marine horizon in the Xiaowa Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Xinpu Ichthyosaur locality
