Sister taxa: Parnasos dissimilis, Parnasos firmipes
Type specimen: PIN 4210/3099, an exoskeleton (male fly). Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 4210, layer 31), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
