Type specimen: BP/1/5790, a partial skull (Partial skull roof and part of the occiput). Its type locality is Driefontein, which is in an Olenekian fluvial siliciclastic in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Driefontein
